Fuses in Blue

Last night, I did some experimenting with glass fusing. I cut the same size of glass over and over again to see if the results are consistent.

All of the blue and cream pieces are the same size. The 4 bigger ones on the right have an extra pieces of clear glass on top. I don't know about you, but I like the smaller ones better. Not only are they more uniform, but they didn't get the bubbles.

I tried one other experiment during this firing. On one of each type, I stamped an image of a leaf on the cream glass with Staz-On. I had heard you could use it on fused glass and it would be permanent. Looks like that is only after firing! It burned right off. The one that didn't have a clear cover on it left an impression, though. Here's a close-up, but I think it's pretty hard to see.

  1. I also like the smaller ones better, and I usually like ones with the clear glass on top.
