Peek-a-boo

I have a great excuse for missing my post yesterday: our internet service was out last night. Anyway, I got a new pair of tin snips this weekend so I can now cut out more shapes without using the jeweler's saw. The square on the back is my first effort. I made a nice, nearly perfect square, then pounded it with a hammer and filed off the corners. I wanted to layer it, but not lose too much of the brass, so I cut some random holes into the disc on top. I also scratched up the surface of the copper for a little more interest. Tim thinks it still looks a little plain, but I prefer the term simple. What do you think? By the way, I'm not sure I actually want to leave it on the ball chain - that was just so I could hang it up for a better picture.

  1. The ball chain is a definite no. I like the idea, but Tim's right....it's missing something. Can't put my finger on it, but it is.
