Today, I have no pictures. I spent most of the afternoon cleaning - my work desk, then my craft room. I have been drowning in random pieces of paper, lists (I LOVE making lists!), sample pieces, tools, and other distracting items for at least a couple of months now and it was time to get it all under control. Especially since my "bead ladies" are coming over this week to hang out. I'll also be doing a little demonstration of how to use resin and that requires a lot of space.
My inspiration today was not of a design, but an organizational method. I've been trying to think of a way to put my growing rubber stamp collection out where I can see it. This way, I can be inspired by the things I have, know what I need to buy, and know what I have so I don't buy them again! A couple of years ago, I bought a little curio cabinet (18" wide, 24" tall, 6" deep) at an antiques show, then realized that it had no hardware to hang it up with. Since it's pretty heavy, I'm working under the assumption that it just shouldn't be hung. Anyway, I put some of my stamps in it and they fit great! So Tim and I went to Home Depot this evening and bought a three foot shelf to put in front of my main crafting desk to put it on. I'm so excited to see it go up! But it took me too long to get the area cleared out, so we'll have to install it tomorrow. I might take a stab at it during lunch. We'll see!
